GLOSSARY · RISK & PERFORMANCE

What is Bracket Order?

A bracket order places your stop and target automatically when the entry fills.

Brackets (also called OCO — one-cancels-other) protect you from forgetting a stop and from emotional exits. When the target fills, the stop is cancelled, and vice versa.

EXAMPLE

Buy 1 ES at 5,000 with a bracket: stop 4,996, target 5,006. Whichever hits first closes the trade.
